I Really Want a Dog Poem

May 22, 2017

I want a pet, especially a dog
I used to have fishes, but they have died
I have pleaded and prayed at the synagogue
But my begging has gone unsatisfied

My parents say I don’t have enough time
To care for an animal and pay the fees
I explain that I will do just fine
Don’t worry, there’s no need to disagree

I maintain my grades and have good hygiene
If you look at my room, it’s fairly clean
I’m almost an adult, one year from eighteen
I’m no longer a silly jelly bean

I would really like a dog, please please please
It’s easy, just let me have the car keys
